NDO Surgical, Inc. (NDO) is a leader in flexible endoscopic surgical technologies that enable surgical procedures through the body’s natural openings. The company’s first product, the Plicator®, treats gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a debilitating condition that affects 15M Americans. Using proven endoscopic surgery techniques, the Plicator creates a full-thickness serosa-to-serosa apposition of the anterior gastric cardia via tissue retraction and deployment of pledgeted sutures.

NDO has conducted several clinical studies to prove the safety and efficacy of the Plicator for the treatment of GERD. The most recent trial (n=159) compared Plicator to a sham control. Treated subjects showed significant symptom relief, reduction of medication use (PPIs) and reduction of distal esophageal acid exposure in this landmark study. More recent multi-center results utilizing two plications have shown equally impressive results in a harder-to-treat (hiatal hernia up to 3 cm) patient population.
